Building Muscle & cutting fat ?

Postby Hardgainer » Fri Feb 05, 2010 3:34 pm

I am currently doing a 3 day programme for building up, its early days but the strength gains are coming now and i can feel the difference, the problem being i am carrying far too much body fat in the stomach area(my own fault, ten years of no training) but my goals are to bulk up chest, arms, legs etc as I have always been small.

I want to continue with the weights as this is my main priority but do I need to do spinning/cardio twice a week aswell or just stick to weights as I will burn calories doing this anyway ?

I'm having protein shakes twice a day and eating reg 4/5 times a day, lower carbs no sugar snacks etc

Any comments would be a great help!

IMHO you will definitely need to do aerobic exercises such as jogging, racket sport, such as badminton(but only if you are good at it....so not much stops) or 'spinning' classes and 3 times a week to lose fat....but its hard to gain muscle at the same time...so keep eating the right stuff and lots of it.
